Injection molding cases are one of the most widely used plastic case types in modern industry. Compared to rotomolded cases, injection-molded cases offer higher production efficiency, better dimensional accuracy, and superior surface quality, making them ideal for mass production. With years of experience, KeXin reveals the full production process in this article.

1. Mold Design and Manufacturing

The quality of an injection-molded case largely depends on the mold. Mold design must consider outer dimensions and wall thickness distribution, draft angles and ejection mechanisms, structures for ribs, latch mounts, and hinge mounts, and cooling channel layout for cycle time and dimensional stability. Molds are usually made of high-quality tool steel, processed by CNC, EDM, and polishing, with lifespans of hundreds of thousands of cycles.

2. Material Selection and Blending

KeXin injection cases mainly use PP (polypropylene) and ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene). PP is lightweight, chemically resistant, and low-cost. ABS offers high strength and good surface gloss. Depending on product series and performance needs, UV resistance, anti-static, and glass-fiber reinforcement modifiers may be added.

3. Injection Molding

Injection molding melts plastic and injects it under high pressure into the mold cavity, where it cools and solidifies. Key parameters include barrel temperature, injection pressure and speed, holding pressure and cooling time, and mold temperature control. KeXin uses advanced injection molding machines and automated part-removal systems to ensure consistency.

4. Post-Processing and Assembly

After molding, cases undergo deburring, trimming, and cleaning. Then latches, seals, hinges, handles, and trolleys are installed. Custom foam inserts are also cut and fitted as needed.

5. Quality Inspection

Every batch undergoes strict quality inspection, including dimensional inspection, visual inspection, functional testing, and performance testing. KeXin adheres to military-grade quality, and every product is rigorously inspected before shipment.
